An event I organised and hosted as the culmination of an ‘Artist in the community’ residency at Scottish Sculpture Workshop. I produced a collection of pottery wheels out of wood, metal and spare machinery parts. They all operated in different ways and relied on people using them either collectively or powering with their hands or feet. This project took it’s starting point from M C Richards text ‘Centring’ which explores the relationship between the hands, body and mind whilst throwing clay on the pottery wheel.
